Body found in Cedar Canyon in Iron County, sheriff’s office says

SALT LAKE CITY — A woman’s body was found in Cedar Canyon near Cedar City Friday evening, police say. Authorities do not believe her death is suspicious.

The Iron County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to reports of a body between mile markers 3 and 4 on state Route 14 at 7:37 p.m.

On scene, deputies found the body of a 60-year-old woman under a bush.

The identity of the victim, or cause of death, were not immediately released by authorities.
