Body found near Bonneville Shoreline Trail in Davis County

SALT LAKE CITY — A body was discovered on Thursday near the Bonneville Shoreline Trail near Adams Canyon, according to the Kaysville Police Department.

The body was discovered at approximately 8 p.m., police said. Based on the clothing description, police said there “is reason to believe” the remains could belong to Colin Mills, a man who was recently reported missing.

The Medical Examiner’s office is expected to make the official identification of the body, police said.

“We have been in contact with Colin’s family, and they are aware of the ongoing investigation,” police said. “We sincerely appreciate the public’s support, patience and assistance over the past several weeks as search efforts have taken place.”
