SALT LAKE CITY — A driver is in custody after allegedly hitting a car driven by a State Bureau of Investigations agent near downtown Salt Lake City on Thursday.
The Utah Highway Patrol said two state agents were looking for a stolen car and found it near 1700 South State Street.
According to troopers, the two agents surrounded the suspect with their vehicles. When one of the agents got out of his car, the suspect allegedly pulled forward and hit the agent’s car.
In order to stop the suspect, the other agent reportedly drove head-on into the stolen car.
The driver was then taken into custody, and nobody was seriously injured.
