Driver killed after crashing into back of semitruck on I-15

FARR WEST, Weber County — A driver is dead after they crashed into the back of a semitruck on Interstate 15, Utah Highway Patrol says.

On Thursday afternoon, Lt. Cameron Roden told KSL that the fatal crash happened on southbound I-15 near the Box Elder and Weber county lines.

Traffic cameras showed southbound traffic being diverted off I-15 as police investigated the scene.

Roden did not provide any more details about the killed driver or how the accident happened.

The Utah Department of Transportation reported that Pleasant View’s I-15 had several closures due to weather.
