Epic Pass price increases for upcoming ski season

SALT LAKE CITY — The price of the Epic Pass is going up for skiers and snowboarders next season. 

This Vail Resorts pass gives people access to their many resorts. 

There is a list of perks that come with the Epic Pass, but this is the fifth consecutive year of price increases by Vail Resorts, according to TownLift. 

This comes on the heels of the Park City Professional Ski Patrol Association strike and the resort’s agreement to increase employee wages and benefits.

However, Park City Mountain Communications Manager Emily McDonald said there isn’t a correlation between the two.

“No, that has nothing to do with the pass pricing.”

Instead, McDonald said inflation is to blame. 

“Prices have gone up slightly each year and this is usually aligned with inflation that’s going on across the entire country.”

For the upcoming season, skiers will have to pay over a thousand dollars for the Epic Pass.
