SALT LAKE CITY — Southbound I-215 is closed in Salt Lake City at California Avenue due to a hazmat situation.

Sgt. Mike Alexander with the Utah Highway Patrol confirms the fuel spill. He said that approximately 25 gallons of fuel were spilled.

Traffic is being diverted at California Avenue. Drivers are asked to use an alternate route, and to expect heavy delays.
