Identities of two killed in US 40 crash are released

HEBER CITY, Utah — Wasatch County officials have released the names of two people who died in a two-car crash on US-40 near the Soldier Creek turn on Friday.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, a gray Dodge pickup truck was traveling east and a black Honda Accord was traveling west on US 40 near mile marker 47.
The UHP said the truck lost control and crossed into the westbound lanes, hitting the Accord.
The truck driver, 37-year-old Poul Larsen, died of his injuries. A passenger in the Accord, 21-year-old Kelsie Remington, died of her injuries. On Sunday morning, the Accord driver remained hospitalized in stable condition.
