Sandy Police investigating Jordan HS bomb threat

SANDY — Police say whoever is behind threats at Jordan High School, including a bomb threat that forced students to leave backpacks behind and evacuate, will face consequences.
Late Thursday, the threat prompted an evacuation so police and fire officials could check the building, but as the all-clear wasn’t sounded until the early evening, some students had to go back on Friday, a non-school day, to retrieve their belongings.
Police said there were two threats involving Jordan High School last week — one earlier in the week, then a second Thursday on the bathroom wall. Neither threat was considered credible, but school officials treated them seriously as a precaution.
School is out again Monday for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day observance.
