LEHI, Utah — A man police said was injured in a Lehi road rage fight on Sunday died on Monday.

KSL Legal Analyst and practicing attorney, Greg Skordas, is acting as the family’s spokesperson.

Skordas told KSL NewsRadio Tuesday morning that Michael Brown, 38, was declared dead at 5:39 p.m. on Monday. He remained on life support long enough for doctors to harvest his organs.

According to a GoFundMe organized on behalf of the family, Brown recieved a traumatic brain injury from the Lehi road rage fight.

According to Lehi Police and jail booking documents, Brown cut off and brake-checked another driver near the 1300 West Main Street Block on Lehi around 1:40 p.m.

Then, the other driver followed Brown into a neighborhood. Police said that both of them got out of their cars and “exchanged a few punches.”

Charging documents said both men threw punches. One of them knocked Brown unconscious. He was later found bleeding from his head by law enforcement.

“Incidents like this affect two families and will affect them both for years and years and years to come. Not only the victim’s family because they lost a loved one. But [also] the perpetrator and his family,” said Skordas.

Brown’s two sons witnessed the altercation.

“I think it’s been doubly hard on the boys,” said Skordas. “In part because they were present when the incident took place.”

Despite the best efforts of doctors and emergency surgery, they could not save Brown’s life, the GoFundMe said.

Skordas said Brown leaves behind a wife and his sons, 10 and 8.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
