SALT LAKE CITY — Former Vice President and rumored presidential candidate Mike Pence will be in Utah on Friday, April 28, for a private event with a small group of business and community leaders.
Pence will take part in a private luncheon at the Zion’s Bank Founders Room. The Herbert Institute for Public Policy at Utah Valley University, UVU, is hosting the roundtable.

Herbert told KSL NewsRadio that real estate owner, Scott Keller is involved in bringing Pence to Utah.
According to Keller’s bio on the University of Utah website, he is one of the largest single-private apartment owners in the Western United States. His name is also on the Scott C. Keller business building at UVU.
The visit comes on the heels of a visit by another rumored presidential candidate, Ron DeSantis. DeSantis gave a strong speech at Utah’s Republican State Convention last Saturday, April 22.
Similar to DeSantis, Pence has yet to officially announce he’s running.
Last September Pence spoke to a crowd at UVU, telling them “I’ll keep you posted,” when asked by a student if he would run for president in 2024.
