‘Dove Creek Fire’ burning in Box Elder County

BRIGHAM CITY, Utah — The Dove Creek fire in Box Elder County is at 55% containment and has spread to 594 acres as of Saturday morning.
The Utah Fire Info reported on Saturday in an X post that 12 structures were threatened by the fire. Weather on Saturday became an aid in helping to keep the fire under control.

The fire reached 200 acres by late Friday afternoon. And at that time there was no containment, according to Box Elder Fire Marshal Kevin Lloyd.
Lloyd said they originally called for an evacuation when the flames were reported. By late Friday afternoon, structures were no longer threatened.
However, he said that could change with the weather.
