One killed in rollover crash in Murray, 2 others flee scene, 1 captured police say

MURRAY — One person is dead after a rollover crash in Murray on Saturday afternoon.
The Murray Police Department said that a red truck hit an SUV that was turning left in the intersection of 5300 South 100 West, across from Intermountain Medical Center. Three people were inside the truck when it rolled and became pinned upside down.
The driver of the red truck was hospitalized and died from their injuries. Two other occupants of the red truck reportedly fled on foot.
One of them was apprehended, and was taken to a different hospital according to Murray police. However, by Monday afternoon, the second person who reportedly fled on foot has not been found.
There were two people inside the SUV, and they were treated and released at the scene.
As of Monday afternoon, Murray police continued to reconstruct the scene of the accident. According to Murray Police spokeswoman Kristin Reardon charges will likely not be filed since the person who reportedly caused the accident is deceased.
The identity of the truck driver that died will likely not be released.
