SALT LAKE CITY — One person is dead after police say an altercation occurred at a Taylorsville home early Saturday.
Lt. Aaron Cheshire with the Taylorsville Police Department said police were called out to an incident at 2:31 a.m. in the area of 5000 S on Redwood Road, where a fight was breaking out.
According to Cheshire, a male and a female were injured during the altercation. The male was reported to be found by police along a curbside in the roadway where the altercation occurred.
“Life saving measures were worked on (the male) by police and fire personnel and he ended up passing away and being deceased at the scene,” Cheshire said. “There were no gunshot wounds that were visible on the male. So we know that it … we believe that (there) wasn’t any type of shooting or anything like that.”
Cheshire also said a female was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.
According to police, there have not been any arrests made in relation to this incident and it is still under investigation.
