PARK CITY, Utah — Visiting Park City Mountain Resort this season will require a bit of planning.

PCMR announced a limit on daily lift ticket sales this season starting this November. The move is in response to complaints of long lines and overcrowding at the resort last season. The resort is encouraging people to buy their tickets in advance.

PCMR will allow lift tickets to be purchased seven or more days in advance and are refundable. Those holding season passes will not be affected by the change.

PCMR also encourages people to purchase tickets before a price increase that takes place on Sept. 5.

Parking changes at Park City Mountain Resort

The resort has implemented a reservation parking system for the Mountain Village base area. The system will be in place from Dec. 12 through April 2. Reservations can be made online.

According to the PCMR, paid reservations are required at the Main, First Time and Silver King lots from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Reservations will be free for cars with four or more people. Other free parking options include the Canyons Village base area, Park City High School (on weekends and holidays) and High Valley Transit Park-n-Ride locations.
