CEDAR CITY — You can no longer park “for sale” cars on Cedar City streets.
A new code, agreed on during a city council meeting, states that “for sale” vehicles can’t be parked in the street or on the shoulder area of any public roads. The idea was first proposed about a month ago.
There are a couple of exceptions to the rule.
A car can be parked in front of the current owner’s home, and if a driver needs to use the car to get around, the car can be parked on the street for short amounts of time to complete their errands.
Cars can also be parked in front of the owner’s home if the speed limit on the road is 25 miles per hour or if parking on the street is necessary for the owner to use the vehicle.
