Police respond to man barricaded in Poplar Grove home

UPDATE: SLCPD said the man surrendered to officers just after 11:00 a.m. No injuries were reported.

SALT LAKE CITY — Police are responding to a situation involving a barricaded man in the area of 400 South 1200 West Friday morning. Police said he may be armed.

The Salt Lake Police Department said its SWAT team was on the scene.

“Our negotiators are on scene, working to establish contact and bring this to a safe resolution,” police said.

The department said 400 South was closed between 1000 West and 1250 West while they respond to the situation.
