Procession held for 2 Tremonton officers killed in the line of duty

TREMONTON — A procession was held Monday evening for the two police officers who were fatally shot in the line of duty while responding to a domestic call Sunday night.
According to the Utah Department of Transportation, a Utah Highway Patrol procession of the two Tremonton officers will take place at approximately 4 p.m.
Several major Utah roads will be closed as the procession will be traveling from Taylorsville to Tremonton and Logan.
Here is the route and the roads that will be closed:
- Northbound Interstate 215 starting at 4700 South in Taylorsville.
- Northbound Legacy Highway.
- Northbound Interstate 12 from Farmington to Termonton.
- State Route 30 from the I-15 junction to Logan.

Box Elder County officials are encouraging residents to participate in the procession, as the planned Draft Horse Show was cancelled.
The procession is expected to reach Tremonton at 5:30 p.m. and will follow this route:
- Exit Interstate 84 into Tremonton.
- Head westbound on Main Street / Brogstrom Brothers Highway.
- Will turn north onto 3rd East.
The procession will continue to Rudd Funeral Home at 1234 South Main Street, where one of the officers will be retrieved. It will continue to Allen’s Funeral Home at 34 East Center Street, where the second officer will be picked up.
The procession will follow Highway 30 to Logan, onto Main Street, and then onto 34 East Center Street, according to Box Elder County officials.
