MILLCREEK — The main water line in Millcreek saw breaks in two different places on Friday, impacting water usage and traffic.
At approximately 10:40 a.m. on Friday, the Salt Lake County Library announced the Millcreek Community Center was closed due to a water main break via a post on X.

The break was eventually found at 3900 S. and 2700 E. In the early afternoon, the Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities announced the break had been found and water had been restored. However, crews are expected to continue to work on the break throughout the weekend.
The second break happened at the intersection of 3300 S. and 900 E.
As of the time of publishing, the crew was still digging to find the exact location of the break. The Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities said via a post on Facebook to expect impacts to traffic at that intersection through the night.
Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities is encouraging finding alternate routes to avoid these intersections until repairs are complete.
