SLCPD seeks help identifying person who left suspicious package downtown

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department needs help from the community to identify a suspect. This person appears to have left a suspicious package in downtown Salt Lake City near 20 West 200 South on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023.
We are releasing two photos and soliciting our community’s help as part of Monday’s ongoing investigation into a suspicious item dropped off at 20 West 200 South.

SLCPD describes the person as a man wearing gray pants, a blue jacket, dark shoes, orange gloves, a tan hat, and a black backpack.
