SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Foster Care, UFC, is putting on the Chalk Art Festival at The Gateway with food trucks and 3D art.
The festival will be on Friday, June 17 from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, June 18 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Aside from the food trucks and 3D art the festival will also feature face painting and interactive games.
“You’ll experience art being created right in front of you, while also learning about the many ways you can be part of a caring community surrounding children and teens in foster care,” said Mike Hamblin, UFC’s CEO.
UFC said that foster parents will be at the festival to answer any questions.
More than 100 local artists will attend and compete for prizes. Several of those artists have a personal connection to foster care.
Attendees can vote for their favorite artist until Sunday. The finished chalk art will remain up for Father’s Day.
