SALT LAKE CITY — A fire was extinguished in Midvale on Tuesday morning after an officer saw smoke rising near Husky Highway.
According to Unified Fire Authority Battalion Chief Riley Pilgrim, fire crews approached the address and evacuated the residence of a single individual and three pets.
Pilgrim said the fire is believed to have started in the bedroom, and was quickly extinguished. The occupants of the residents were “displaced” due to the blaze.
One lane on 700 East was temporarily closed while officers fought the blaze.
Both Murray and Sandy fire crews responded to the scene.
