WASHINGTON, Utah — Two people are in critical condition following a car crash involving two cars on Wednesday afternoon in Washington City.

According to a news release, the crash happened in the area of Washington Parkway and Grapevine Crossing Road.

It occurred at 4 p.m. A semi-truck was traveling northbound on Washington, and a minivan was driving west on Grapevine.

According to the news release, witnesses told police that the minivan failed to stop at the intersection and went on through. The semi struck the minivan on the driver’s side.

Police say both occupants of the minivan, an adult male and an adult female, were found unresponsive outside of the vehicle. Both individuals were transported to a St. George hospital for treatment of their injuries.
