UDOT closes state Route 153 between Beaver, Piute County

BEAVER — State Route 153 is closed indefinitely between Beaver and Piute County.

The Utah Department of Transportation said the closure is due to damage caused by flash flooding and debris flows over the weekend.

KSL NewsRadio reached out to UDOT spokesperson John Gleason for more information. The interview is below.

SR 153 runs through Beaver Canyon and connects Interstate 15 and US 89. It is a seasonal road mostly used for recreation and by those who have properties on the mountain.
