Inside the operations of search and rescue in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — The biggest stories in Utah this week have involved the type of work performed every day by search and rescue officials.

So today, KSL Brightside hosts Alex and Ethan are streaming their program live from the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office, where they’ll talk about search and rescue efforts, the volunteers behind those efforts, as well as tips for preparedness.

We’ll find out:

• How search and rescue call outs this year compare to years past.
• The challenges faced by less populated (but larger) counties.
• Why funding search and rescue operations is so important.
