Water line break at SLCC Taylorsville Redwood campus still impacting students, classes

SALT LAKE CITY — Classes typically held at the Lifetime Activities Center on the Taylorsville Redwood Campus of Salt Lake Community College have been relocated.
Campus officials cited “significant damage” to the LAC due to a water line break on Friday.
“All classes scheduled in the LAC have been relocated to other areas on campus,” school officials said in an X post. “Please check Canvas for messages from your professors about where your classes will not meet and any other applicable instructions.

Testing services at the Lifetime Activities Center will remain closed until Wednesday, Oct. 22, the school said, due to the water line break. However, testing services at other locations on the Salt Lake Community College Taylorsville Redwood campus remain open.
The school also said that athletics and other events scheduled for the LAC have also been relocated, and that those affected students and teachers have been notified.
