WEST JORDAN — A 15-year-old teen is in the hospital after they were found in West Jordan late Wednesday night with a gunshot wound, police say.
According to West Jordan police, a 911 caller reported someone had been wounded near 3400 West and Speed Skate Circle. It was unclear if the caller was the victim, or a different person.
When officers arrived, they found the 15-year-old wounded from at least one gunshot. Officers were unable to provide the teen’s condition as of Thursday morning.
Police believe the shots may have been fired during a possible drive-by shooting near the area. Officers said the incident was isolated, and there was no danger to the community.
