Man found dead after going missing in Yuba Lake

SALT LAKE CITY — A man went missing at Yuba State Park Reservoir in Juab County Saturday. His body was recovered at approximately 8:30 p.m., officials confirmed.

“The Utah Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division extends condolences to family and friends. The incident remains under investigation at this time,” The Utah Department of Natural Resources said in a press release Saturday night.

Chase Pili with the DNR said search and rescue crews from both Juab County and Utah County were searching for a 39-year-old man in the water.

The man was reported missing at approximately 4:30 p.m. Saturday. He was last seen swimming at North Beach at the reservior.

The events leading up to the man’s disappearance were not immediately known. His identity was not released, but DNR said he was from Salt Lake County.
