Two people injured in an auto-pedestrian collision in North Ogden

NORTH OGDEN — Two individuals were injured Saturday after being struck by a car as they were walking along a road.
Police say that a 55-year-old man and his 5-year-old grandson were rushed to an area hospital following the incident at 460 East 2600 North. Police said both victims were in stable condition on Monday.
According to the probable cause statement, the driver, Robert Hyde, had 0.284% blood alcohol content, which is six times the legal limit. Hyde was booked into the Weber County Jail under investigation for DUI.
According to police the two victims were crossing south to north in an area that does not have crossings or signals.
Police say the car was traveling eastbound.
