SLCPD make a third arrest in last summer’s General Drive shooting

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department announced Friday a third arrest in the shooting death of 21-year-old Sean Amone.
The suspect is a 16-year-old male. However, police are not releasing any additional information because he is a minor, including the charges being filed against him.
The investigation into this case began on June 6, 2021 when officers from the Salt Lake City Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 1300 North General Drive. Once on scene, officers discovered Amone, who was already deceased. There were also four other males with gunshot wounds. They were transported to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries, according to a police press release.
Police say the suspects fled the scene before authorities could arrive.
On June 8, 2021, officers took a 15-year-old male into custody for his involvement in the incident, police say.
Police also say that on July 13, 2021, they took a then 16-year-old into custody on an unrelated matter. In February, however, charges were filed against the minor in connection to the homicide.
According to police, the Salt Lake County District’s Office filed last month one one-count charging instrument against 19-year-old Felix Issara for his alleged involvement in the shooting death of Amone. Issara has since been taken into custody.
Police say the June 6, 2021 incident is still an ongoing investigation.
