Looking to help? Volunteers needed for flood mitigation

SALT LAKE CITY — Gov. Spencer Cox asked the government for $5 million for flood mitigation, and now he, along with other organizations, is asking local communities for volunteers.
From resource donations to sandbag stacking, Northern Utah’s flood advisory has come just in time for National Volunteer Week — April 16- 22.
Cox has issued an order where eligible employees can use up to eight hours of administrative leave or “flood response leave” to provide volunteer flood response.
To volunteer in Salt Lake County, please visit the Give Pulse website where the county said they will list available volunteer opportunities.

The State of Utah asks potential volunteers to fill out this form to be updated with new volunteer opportunities in their area.
The City of Provo is asking for volunteers to help fill sandbags. If you would like to be considered for this opportunity fill out this form.
