SALT LAKE CITY — Fourteen winners from the BeUTAHful Community Student Art Competition will have their artwork displayed on Utah Transit Authority buses and trains for one year.
On Thursday, May 25, the winners from four age categories not only saw their artwork on a Utah Transit Authority bus but also received a $100 VISA gift card and a UTA pass for the summer at the My BeUTAHful event.
The 2023 artwork theme was “imagine, lead, and change.” More specifically, the artists used their work to imagine what the future of their neighborhoods may hold, said a release from UTA.
Furthermore, the release says the artwork emphasizes the diversity and beauty within the winner’s community.
Besides artwork displayed on the outside of UTA transit, the artwork will also be featured inside buses from other transit agencies, in public parks, and at the 2023 Utah Arts Festival.
