SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah — Investigators are trying to figure out why a playground was burned to ashes.
A small neighborhood park in Saratoga Springs somehow caught on fire Thursday and is now just a pile of burned plastic and melted metal. A spokesperson with Saratoga Springs Fire said investigators don’t know how it started. They said the fire seemed suspicious and are investigating if it is arson.
The fire sent huge plumes of black smoke into the sky. The department said they arrived quickly and there were no injuries, but the kids need to find another place to play.
Those in the area said they loved the playground and used it all the time.
This is a developing story.
