SALT LAKE CITY — With the arrival of the Labor Day weekend, Salt Lake City International Airport is fully staffed for what is expected to be a busy weekend.
Nancy Volmer, director of communications for the airport, tells KSL NewsRadio what the foot traffic is expected to be.
“Today, Friday is one of the busier days leading into the weekend,” she said. “We’re looking at more than 30,000 passengers coming through the front door.”
The airport will see 20,000 passengers during a busy non-holiday travel day, according to Volmer.
Volmer offers a couple of things to keep in mind before coming to the airport.
“So, make sure what you’re packing is allowed through the TSA checkpoint,” she said. “Because if there are items not allowed and they have to slow down the line. They have to slow down everyone.”
Additionally, she says to give yourself extra time and be patient.
