SALT LAKE CITY — It’s been a Cruel Summer for Swifties who couldn’t get Eras Tour tickets, but everything has changed. Last night their Wildest Dreams came true at the premiere of the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie, and fans are Enchanted.
When Taylor Swift announced her Era’s Tour movie would premiere one day early, fans were Ready For It. The movie hit the big screen last night and Utah Swift fans far and wide headed to movie theaters to catch the first showings. Clara Hawks drove from Tremonton to Ogden to see the movie, and she didn’t mind the $20 ticket price.
“Better than three grand for a concert ticket,” Hawks said told KSL NewsRadio.
Even at $20 a ticket, most people who spoke with KSL NewsRadio already had tickets for another show. Hawks said she has tickets to see the movie again tonight.
“I think I could watch it a million times,” another fan said.
Olivia from Ogden will need to rest her voice so she can come back for the Saturday show she also has tickets for.
“We were singing and screaming everything, every single song,” Olivia said.
Mindy from South Ogden was at the very first showing at her local theater.
“We saw it at the Vegas show, I mean live is definitely better, but it was just as fun,” Mindy said.
Each moviegoer gets a small poster of Swift and most fans purchased special Era’s tour cups and popcorn bowls complete with pink glitter popcorn. The movie is currently scheduled to run for another four weeks.
