Here’s our interview with the director of  Bountiful City Water.

BOUNTIFUL, Utah — Residents in three areas of Bountiful had water trouble on Monday and Tuesday.

According to Bountiful City Water Department Director Kraig Christensen, the trouble started with one water leak. But that leak became three water leaks scattered across the city.

“The crew that was working all night long was making repairs, and then when we’d charged the main back up, we’d find another leak,” Christensen told KSL NewsRadio.

“The older (water) main had some weak spots, and they were showing when we were charging.”

A post on X (formerly Twitter) announced that, because of leaking, water had been turned off to homes and businesses on 900 East from East Hills Drive to 1500 North, on 900 North from 600 East to 700 East, and on Canyon Estates Drive from 3345 South to North Canyon Circle.

By Tuesday afternoon, Bountiful officials said they’d turned the water back on in all three areas of concern.
