SALT LAKE CITY — In the investigation into a series of hit-and-run crashes along the Wasatch Front, Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill said the driver was seen accelerating his car before hitting several women, who all survived and are now recovering.
The district attorney said the acceleration aspect also connected the hit-and-run crashes, adding it’s possible there are even more victims.
The hit-and-run suspect, Ahn Pham, 26, is in police custody facing multiple attempted-murder charges.
Gill said the driver would stalk the women beforehand, then drive past the crime scene later. He also said the driver would intentionally speed up.
He added security cameras showed and witnesses mentioned the same car over and over.
“We started to piece it together because the information that was coming together identified the same vehicle,” he said.
Gill discussed the investigation with KSLNewsRadio’s Dave and Dujanovic.
