SALT LAKE CITY — An arson investigation is underway after several suspicious fires in Salt Lake City on Tuesday.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, crews were called to four small fires in the area of 100 South between 500 East and 700 East.
“Fire investigators do believe that they are all tied together,” said Salt Lake City Fire Captain Brandt Hancuff.
Hancuff said firefighters found a car, a fence and two dumpsters in flames. The fires were reported within 30 minutes of each other.
The close times and proximity leads Salt Lake City Fire to believe this is a repeat arsonist.
Neighbors with security cameras in the area are asked to contact Salt Lake City Fire, so that officials can look for suspicious activity that may have been caught on tape.
