WASHINGTON TERRACE, Utah — Firefighters from the Washington Terrace Fire Department were called in to rescue 12 ducklings on Saturday that had fallen into a storm drain.
Residents in the area said the mother duck was in a panic while her babies were trapped for hours.
When firefighters arrived to rescue the ducklings, they were able to safely remove the cover to the storm drain and retrieve all 12 ducklings.
In a video sent to KSL NewsRadio by Ogden’s Kristina Anderson, viewers can see the ducklings being handed off to their mother.
By the end of the video, all 12 ducklings waddled away safely into some nearby bushes with their mother.
