Vehicle catches fire while towing a boat near St. George

LEEDS, Utah — Firefighters in Washington County were busy on the Fourth of July after a vehicle fire started a grass fire near Leeds, Utah, approximately 16 miles northeast of St. George.
A UHP spokesman said a Land Rover was towing a boat when it caught fire Thursday afternoon. The Land Rover was traveling on northbound I-15 about six miles north of Leeds when the fire began.
Sgt. Cam Roden said nearby grass caught fire, and that the fire fully engulfed the vehicle.
Roden said there were no injuries.

Three lanes of I-15 were blocked Thursday afternoon as emergency workers tackled the flames.
