SALT LAKE CITY — The global Microsoft outage has lead to hospital delays along with impacting many businesses.
Across the country hospitals, including in states like Massachusetts, California and Texas have all but come to a standstill.
Some are canceling surgeries and others have just ended up delaying clinic visits.
In fact, any businesses relying on software from the company CrowdStrike has had issues, many of which work with hospitals.
Microsoft outage in Utah Hospitals?
As for Utah, the University of Utah Health says they have had no issues with the Microsoft global outage in their hospital.
Luckily they don’t use CrowdStrike and all is running normally.
Intermountain Health and CommonSpirit Health say they’ve had limited impacts, mostly with third-party vendors who use the CrowdStrike software.
Intermountain Health in a statement said they’ve seen minimal impact to patient care and expect to have everything fixed within 24 hours.
In a statement from the CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region spokesperson,” We continue to provide safe, high-quality care to our patients and thank everyone for their patience as our teams take immediate action to restore any impacted systems.”
MountainStar Healthcare has also had issues with vendors that use CrowdStrike, but has not been directly impacted and does not expect the outage to affect their care to their patients.
