The deadline to register to vote is on Oct. 25

SALT LAKE CITY – With the presidential election less than a month away, county clerks hope Utahns register to vote before the late-October deadline.

“I would encourage everybody, don’t ever wait until the deadline. Get registered now,” Davis County clerk Brian McKenzie said. “If you’re not sure if you’re registered, check today. Make sure you are registered to vote as soon as possible, but the deadline is Oct. 25.”

You can register or check the status of your registration on the state of Utah’s website.

McKenzie said voters can also make sure their registration is current on the same webpage. Afterward, the best thing voters can do is get involved in the voting process.

“Understand how you can be involved in the process,” he said. “Your local county clerk is the source of information if you have any questions about elections.

He said every county will be posting its ballot-processing hours. Anyone is invited to come, observe and be involved in the process.
