Update: June 22, 2022 9:47 p.m.

Salt Lake City police announced Wednesday evening that Tanner Cram was taken into custody by the FBI in Las Vegas. Cram is the suspect in a pair of bank robberies Tuesday evening in Salt Lake County.

Police say no other details will be provided until the suspect makes his first court appearance.

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department continues to investigate an armed bank robbery Tuesday evening and on Wednesday morning, identified a suspect in the case.

Via Twitter, police said they are looking for Tanner Cram, age 27. They urge anybody with information about Cram’s whereabouts to contact 9-1-1.


 Police say the suspect allegedly robbed an America First Credit Union, located at 1799 South Pioneer Road at 5:52 p.m. In this incident, police say, the suspect passed the teller a note and made mention of a firearm.

According to Salt Lake City Police, the suspect also allegedly robbed a Deseret Credit Union, located at 9325 South Village Shop Drive in Sandy. 

In the Sandy robbery, a firearm was exposed in the suspect’s front waistband, police say. Additionally, police say that the suspect touched the firearm several times during the incident. 

According to police, the suspect is described as a white man in his mid-20s. He is roughly 5-foot-6 with a skinny build and slight facial hair. According to police, the suspect was last seen wearing a light-colored button up shirt with a collar and dark pants with a belt.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call 911.
