Lehi City unveils art honoring fallen deputy

LEHI CITY, Utah — In 2001, Officer Joe Adams was killed in the line of duty at a traffic stop involving a drunk driver. Now, 21 years later, Lehi City has come together to honor him.

Officer Adams is the only police ever to have been killed in the line of duty for Lehi City police department. Lehi City’s public safety building honored his life with a new stain glass window in their building.

The city helped fund the project and the organizations Roots of Humanity and Holdman Studios created the window and donated it to the police department. 

Last night, members of the force including the police chief and the artist, along with the mother of Officer Adams looked on as the work of art was unveiled.

The art on the window depicted the story of the department from its earliest days to present.
