(CNN) — Ambitious Lego fans who want to replicate the Parisian experience in their own homes can now do so with their very own Eiffel Tower set, which reaches 1.49 meters (4.8 ft) — the company’s tallest ever build.

The Eiffel Tower was erected in the French capital for the 1889 Exposition Universelle, celebrating the centennial of the French Revolution. It was meant to be dismantled after 20 years, but has stood the test of time, becoming a landmark instantly recognizable and synonymous with France.

The tower itself is 300 meters (984 feet) high. It was the tallest structure in the world until the topping off of the Chrysler Building in New York City in 1929.

The Lego structure doesn’t quite meet the dizzy heights of the real Parisian building, but it is “designed to authentically replicate the momentous wrought iron tower,” according to a news release on Tuesday.

Lego’s 10,001-piece set has three observation platforms, elevators, a broadcast tower, landscaping and a flag to top it off.

Lego designer Rok Žgalin Kobe said in the news release: “We wanted to find the ultimate LEGO expression for the engineering and architectural masterpiece that is the Eiffel tower.

“We followed the structural principles of the original tower as closely as the LEGO System would allow.”

The designer added that novel Lego building techniques will be uncovered during the construction, bringing the tower’s architectural features “to life.”

The set separates into four sections, making it easier to build, move and play with, the company said.

“Once complete you can imagine the breath-taking feeling of standing at the top and looking across the rich history of the city of Paris,” Kobe added.

While this will be the tallest set from the company, it is the second largest by brick count. The Lego Art World Map contains an impressive 11,695 pieces.

The Eiffel Tower set, due to be released on November 25, is being sold for $629.99.
