SPANISH FORK, Utah — Spanish Fork police say they’ve found a person of interest in the deaths of a 58-year-old and a 50-year-old.

They say they found the victims dead inside a home near 2200 E. 1400 South in Spanish Fork around noon Tuesday. Police were called for a welfare check at 12:17 p.m. A co-worker to one of the victims stated to police that the victim had not shown up to work for the past two days.

Police were unable to contact the residence at the home. Additionally, police were unsuccessful in reaching the individuals on a cellphone.

At 1:45 p.m., police found an unlocked window and entered the home. In clearing the home, police discovered the two deceased bodies.

Police say they found the son of the deceased, Tryston Erickson, in Colorado. And he’s been taken into custody.

According to a news release, during the course of the investigation, the phone of one of the victims pinged near Steamboat Springs, Colorado around 5 p.m.

Believing that the phone was with the missing vehicle, authorities in Spanish Fork reached out to law enforcement in Colorado for assistance.

Shortly thereafter, the vehicle was spotted in Kremmling, Colorado where a traffic spot was initiated. However, the vehicle fled, and a pursuit began.

Following the pursuit, Erickson was taken into custody and booked into the Grand County Colorado Jail. The names of the victims have not been released.
