SALT LAKE CITY — Spice on 9th Market & Café, a café and marketplace, that replaces the Spice To-Go Program is now open.

It’s not only a hub to try cuisines and produce from around the world. It also aims to help refugees and immigrants succeed in the food business.

Emily Park, program manager at The Spice Incubator, shares the program’s true mission.

“What we really want to do is make sure they are continuing to learn and grow from the training we’re providing and really finding their own path,” Park said. “So the café is meant to give them as many avenues as possible.”

Individuals looking to support the program can purchase directly from its entrepreneurs, listed on its website.

“If you go on our website, you have links to all of their business pages, if they have them,” Park said. “You have their Instagram’s to follow them, especially critical for food trucks if you want to know how to find them.”
