Family Dollar issues recall in 23 states including Utah

SALT LAKE CITY — Family Dollar has begun a voluntary recall for specific over-the-counter drugs and medical devices, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The recall is in effect in 23 states including Utah.

According to a Family Dollar announcement, the products being recalled were stored outside of the labeled temperature requirements. Then they were shipped out. The company said this happened around June 1, 2023.

The products were sold between June 1 and Oct. 4, according to the announcement. The list of products includes a variety of medications and hygiene products.

The recall is active in the following 23 states:

  • Arkansas
  • Arizona
  • California
  • Colorado
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Idaho
  • Kansas
  • Louisiana
  • Mississippi
  • Montana
  • North Dakota
  • Nebraska
  • New Mexico
  • Nevada
  • Oklahoma
  • Oregon
  • South Dakota
  • Texas
  • Utah
  • Washington
  • Wyoming

At this time, Family Dollar has not received complaints or reports of illness from any customers, according to the announcement.

Anyone with concerns may call the Family Dollar Customer service line at 844-636-7687 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST.
