WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a post on X, President Joe Biden said he would address the nation from the Oval Office. The address will take place at 8 p.m. ET, which is 6 p.m. MST.
Tomorrow evening at 8 PM ET, I will address the nation from the Oval Office on what lies ahead, and how I will finish the job for the American people.

From the Oval Office, Biden will speak about what comes next and how he plans to finish his presidency. The post did not elaborate further.
Listen to the president live at 6 p.m. on Wednesday:
The post comes after the news broke on Sunday that President Biden decided to drop out of the 2024 presidential election.
Who will take Biden’s place?
President Biden endorsed Kamala Harris as his replacement for the Democratic spot on the November ballot. However, the Democratic party has not selected an official replacement yet.
Biden was the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee. The Associated Press reported that Jaime Harrison, the Democratic National Committee chair, will move forward with a “transparent and orderly process” to replace President Biden as the nominee.
AP said that a committee tasked with setting up rules for the upcoming Democratic National Convention will meet on Wednesday to discuss the next steps.
The decision was announced just weeks after a CNN-hosted debate that many have called “disastrous.” It led to several calls for Biden to abandon his bid for re-election.
