Another winter storm expected to bring rain and snow this week

SALT LAKE CITY — Another round of winter storms is in the forecast this week, which will help the snowpack along the Wasatch Front and southern Utah.
KSL Meteorologist Matt Johnson said the first storm is expected to start Monday night and go through the first half of Tuesday.
“Southern Utah picks up 6 to 12 inches of snow in their mountains, where they desperately need it. Northern Utah mountains picking up about 5 to 10 inches,” he said. “… By Tuesday afternoon we’re quieting things down.”
Johnson said we’ll then see another storm move in Wednesday night into Thursday.
He said that storm could tack on another 6 inches to a foot of snow in our mountains. Some models suggest it could end up being even more than that.
