UHP’s Lt. Cameron Roden said at approximately 6:45 p.m., a 2003 Chevrolet Taho traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 crashed near milepost 45.
Roden said the SUV left the roadway, veering right, and traveled a distance on the shoulder of the highway before it rolled several times.
As it rolled, the 61-year-old male driver was thrown from the SUV. The driver was evaluated by paramedics and unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene, Roden said.
